Instructional Design & eLearning

“When it comes to eLearning, content means everything. If eLearning content is not masterfully designed, all the rest will just go down the drain.”

Pre-Built Weekly Course Template - Optional

The weekly course template I developed is designed as a flexible framework to support faculty, not a set of rigid requirements. It provides a consistent structure for navigation and key course elements—like where to find the syllabus, assignments, and contact information—so students can focus on learning rather than searching for materials. Within this structure, faculty have complete freedom to design their own content, choose readings and assignments, and bring their unique teaching style to the course. The template reduces the burden of building the course shell from scratch.

For students, the consistency provided by a template reduces confusion and cognitive load, which can improve student success and satisfaction. For faculty, the template supports good instructional design without dictating how or what to teach, preserving academic freedom while promoting student-centered best practices.

Course Mapping Tool

The course mapping tool is used to help faculty develop and re-develop courses in a way that increases alignment with course and module objectives.

Minimum Quality Rubric (MQR) - SP25 version

The MQR is a snapshot review of a course; only seven items are evaluated. The date and time are recorded, and the course is reviewed from the Student Preview perspective.
